A temporary drummer substitution in Skálmöld el Deadache 07/07/2014 News Over the last few months Skálmöld’s drummer Jón Geir has been having problems with his shoulder. Despite him doing everything possible to recover, things have only got worse and drastic measures need to be taken. He has to undergo a surgery and that has to happen as soon as possible. Jón Geir is going to need weeks or even months to heal afterwards. Since the band is about to start another tour, a temporary substitution is more than necessary. Kristján “Breytari” Heiðarsson, who is a living legend in the Icelandic metal world, will stand in for Jón. He has been active since the ‘90s and originally became known for his then main band Changer. He is also a member of the incredible instrumental giants of Dark Harvest and more recently he has been working on his blackish metal band Vetur, serving as a guitarist and main composer. He shall remain with the band until Jón Geir comes back, hopefully sooner than later. Let me remind you that Skálmöld is visiting Poland in November. All the gigs are under FolkMetal.pl media patronage.
